Around the same time, a friend's dog was heading into patella-replacement surgery and needed a proper orthopedic bed for recovery. Jeff went looking for one — as a customer, and as a man who had spent two decades inside the textile industry.

What he found surprised him. Beds that sagged within months. "Orthopedic" claims on foam too thin to mean anything. And almost nothing he'd want in his own living room.

So he did what a textile man does: he made the bed himself — in the factory he knew, with the materials he trusted. That first orthopedic bed, built for a dog like Deebo, became KSIIA.
